Email deliverability is shared. One abusive sender can harm the reputation, and the inbox placement, of every customer on a platform. This policy protects all of you. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
You must not use MailCRO to
- send spam: unsolicited bulk or commercial email to people who have not clearly agreed to receive it;
- send to purchased, rented, scraped or harvested address lists;
- send phishing, scams or messages that impersonate another person or organisation;
- distribute malware, ransomware or links to malicious content;
- send content that is illegal, or that promotes violence, exploitation or harassment;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- attempt to break into, probe or overload our systems or anyone else’s;
- bypass sending limits, for example by spreading volume across accounts;
- forge headers or otherwise hide the origin of a message.
Sending guidelines
- Mailboxes are for person-to-person business mail and transactional messages such as invoices and order confirmations.
- Newsletters and marketing campaigns belong on a dedicated email marketing service with unsubscribe handling. Talk to us about a dedicated server if you need high-volume sending.
- Sending limits apply to every plan to protect deliverability. Professional plans include enhanced limits for client-facing teams.
- Keep your devices and passwords secure. Compromised accounts are the most common source of abuse.
Enforcement
If we detect abuse or receive credible complaints, we may limit sending, quarantine messages or suspend affected mailboxes to protect the platform. Where possible we contact you first and help you fix the problem. Serious or repeated violations may lead to termination under our Terms of Service.
Reporting abuse
To report spam or abuse originating from MailCRO, email abuse@mailcro.com with the full message headers. Security vulnerabilities can be reported to security@mailcro.com.
